Easy Halloween treats you can make with your kids
Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year. It brings people together, allows them to let their imaginations run wild with creative and wacky costumes and fosters a sense of community and generosity rarely seen on other occasions. This year, the pandemic has made it a challenge to take your kids trick-or-treating but you can still make it a memorable day for you and your loved ones through baking activities to keep kids busy. Decorate your house, carve those pumpkins, binge watch scary movies all while indulging in these delicious Halloween treats which consist of easy baking recipes you can make together with your kids. - Spooky Cookie Monster Oreos
Ingredients:
Oreos
White chocolate chip cookies
Coconut oil
Blue sanding sugar
Candy eyes
Mini Chocolate chip cookies
Blue food colouring
Directions
In a bowl, add the white chocolate chips, oil and a few drops of food colouring. Microwave the mix until the chocolate has melted. Keep stirring till fine.
Line a baking sheet with parchment.
Fully coat each Oreo cookie in the chocolate mixture. Add to the baking sheet and sprinkle with sanding sugar. Stick 2 candy eyes on top. Serve when chocolate sets completely.

- Halloween Hot Chocolate Mug Cake
Ingredients:
Flour
Unsweetened cocoa
Baking powder
Pinch salt
Sugar
Milk
Vegetable oil
Mini marshmallows
Milk chocolate
Cracker
Directions:
Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk! Add milk and vegetable oil and whisk till you smoothen the batter.
Microwave in microwave safe mug for 60 seconds. Remove from the microwave and add marshmallows. Microwave again for 12 seconds. Top with chocolate squares and crackers and serve.
